Osteopathy · Strength & Rehab — Hawthorn, Melbourne
Built to move. Rebuilt to last.
Osteopathy and strength & rehabilitation, practised as one discipline. Assess with rigour. Treat with exactness. Then rebuild it in the gym — so it holds.

01 / Treat
Diagnosis before treatment. Always.
Your initial consult is seventy-five minutes. We go deep into the history and the story behind the injury — the why behind your pain, not simply where it presents. Assessment and treatment happen on the day, while we build the plan that addresses what is actually driving it.
Osteopathy — hands-on, explained, exact

02 / Rebuild
Treatment ends. Capacity endures.
We are all bones held together by muscle. That makes strength the foundation musculoskeletal health rests on — not a sport, not an aesthetic, and not something you graduate to once you are already fit.
So the discipline moves to the gym floor in Hawthorn. Programmed work, coached rep by rep by the same practitioner who treated you. It is the basis of how nearly every injury here is approached.

“Most treatment fails at the same point — the handover between the table and real load. I refuse to make that someone else's problem. I treat you in the clinic, then I stand next to the bar while you rebuild. One practitioner, accountable for the whole result. That's the standard I'd want for my own body, so it's the one I practise.”

Questions
Precise answers.
Do I need a referral to see an osteopath?
No. Osteopaths are primary healthcare practitioners in Australia — book directly. A GP referral only matters for certain Medicare care plans (EPC/CDM), which we can discuss if relevant to you.
Can I claim through private health insurance?
Most extras policies cover osteopathy. HICAPS is on site, so you can claim on the spot and pay only the gap. Check “osteopathy” under your extras cover.
Osteopath versus physiotherapist — what's the difference?
Both are university-trained, AHPRA-registered allied health professions. Osteopathy tends to be more hands-on and whole-system; physiotherapy often leads with exercise. Here the question dissolves: you get precise manual treatment and structured strength work, from one practitioner.
How is the gym work different from personal training?
A personal trainer programs for general fitness. This is clinical rehabilitation: exercises selected because of a diagnosis, progressed at tissue-appropriate rates, supervised by the registered osteopath who assessed you. Same barbell, different discipline.
What should I wear or bring?
Gym appropriate attire or anything you can move in. Please bring your private health card for on the spot claiming through HICAPS.
What happens in the first consultation?
Seventy-five minutes: history, hands-on and movement assessment, treatment on the day, and a written view of the plan — including when the gym enters it.
